Jason Day went into the third day of the PGA Championship just one shot off playing partner Rory McIlroy and after the par he carded on the second hole he must be thinking that this could be his week.
Day pulled his tee-shot drastically to the left which left him in a hazard across a stream. There was no way across other than to wade through and, having eventually found the ball, he either chose not to bring a club with him or forgot to do so. That meant he had to catch his club without dropping it because doing so would have been considered grounding the club in a hazard.
Day managed to extricate his ball from some very thick rough before getting up and down for what was certainly the most remarkable par save of the week.
