Three-time Masters winner Gary Player was on the Golf Channel yesterday. The South African told his "favourite" story about old rival and four-time Masters winner Arnold Palmer from when the two were playing in Japan.
Apparently Palmer took a shit on one of the greens of the Japanese golf course. Player describes it as the American "unfortunately having a big poop". He doesn't elaborate as to why exactly Palmer did not at least seek out a bush, you might find the odd one on a golf course after all. Though he does say that there were large crowds surround the green so maybe there was just nowhere to go.
He goes on to say, with his best Japanese impression, that a tournament referee blamed him for the dump, stating that Palmer was "king" and "he never do it".
