There are more ESPN: 30 For 30 documentaries coming. This is excellent news.
The high-acclaimed series of incredibly entertaining sports documentaries started back in 2009 with the airing of "Kings Ransom" which analysed the trade of Wayne Gretzky to the LA Kings, and has been running ever since with some absolute classics such as "The Two Escobars", "One Night In Vegas", "Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks", and "Without Bias" to name but a few.
In fact, it's difficult to think of a 30 For 30 documentary that hasn't been absolutely excellent, and that is why we are so happy to find out that a full new season of 30 (yes, 30!) more documentaries will be released, as we also learned the subjects of the first four:
-The early '90s Buffalo Bills teams who made it to four consecutive Super Bowls and lost all four.
-Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield
-Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll
-Larger than life pro golfer John Daly.
They all sound like absolutely brilliant subjects for a documentary and we have complete faith that ESPN will keep up to their high standards, so therefore we are absolutely thrilled at this news.
Which one are you most looking forward to?
The John Daly doc will surely be fantastic, and the Bills one sounds great, then again, we love Pete Carroll, and Tyson vs Holyfield??? Ah here, we're being spoiled!
As of yet we don't have a date for the new series, but we hope it won't be too long after the current season concludes on June 8th.
