You may remember a senile looking Clint Eastwood talking to a chair during the 2012 Republican Convention in the United States. Well he's doing it again. This time he's taking part in the USGA's campaign to encourage players to hurry up when they're on the golf course.
The USGA is concerned that players are taking to long to complete rounds at the highest level of the game and this is filtering down, being imitated by amateur players. In this year's US Open for the first time all members of a group must have a ball in play before the group ahead of them is off the green. Many are accusing the USGA of interfering with the traditions of the game, but they seem fairly determined to press ahead with this regardless, hiring Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer and Ol' Clint himself for their campaign.
