Caroline Wozniacki departed Wimbledon at the fourth round stage yesterday after a 4-6, 4-6 defeat to Garbine Muguruza. After discussing that defeat at her post match press conference, the Dane then chose to shine a spotlight on what she feels is some inherent sexism in the way the courts are divided up between men and women at the tournament.
Wozniacki stated that the men's matches are often given precedence when it comes to appearing on the show courts at SW19, something which she would like to see change. Whether you agree with Wozniacki or not, and it must be said, she has a point, you'll surely agree that this is not how the questioning should have went.
Yes really. Wozniacki was addressing what she sees as sexism at Wimbledon and she was then immediately asked about what she thought about her ex-fiancé and his injured ankle. Unsurprisingly, she chose not to answer the question.
