This PGA Championship has been a whirlwind so far and we're only now reaching the weekend. The chaos at the start of the day with Scottie Scheffler's arrest and the tragic accident on the roads leading to Valhalla Golf Course overshadowed the golf that took place on Friday.
Robert MacIntyre hit a shot from a balcony, Collin Morikawa shot a 65 to get to one off the -12 leader Xander Schauffele while Rory McIlroy fell behind with level par round to remain on -5.
One of the crazier sites from Kentucky though has to be when Adam Hadwin's club ended up in the water and a fan volunteered to go in retrieve it for the Canadian. The fan got stripped down and dove in to heroically save the club for Hadwin who waited on shore with a towel- for the club.
Things you didn’t expect to see at the PGA Championship👀

Hadwin's wife, Jessica poked fun at the moment on twitter with a tweet a lot of other halves could relate too.

While it's not clear when the fan jumped into the water it seems like it could possibly have happened on the par 5 seventh hole when Hadwin hit his second shot into the water. Due to the shotgun start in this major the seventh hole was actually Hadwin's 16th of the day as he started his round on the back 9. He bogeyed the previous hole and after hitting his shot in the water Hadwin may have let out some frustration though that's not certain.
Hadwin finished the day with a round of 72, good enough for him to reach the weekend sitting on 2 under par for the tournament.
