To some, the Ryder Cup has gone the way of the Lions in rugby, in that its being pukeishly over-hyped by Sky Sports has warped many minds against it.
Others can't wait. The drama. The spine-tingling roars of the crowd. The moments of magic from the edge of the green. And, most importantly, the novelty of watching two golf teams from either side of the pond go pitch-for-putt in front of an unusually raucous audience.
Regardless of your thoughts on the tournament as a whole, this was a magical moment and, dare I say it, what the Ryder Cup is all ab-- nah, I just can't. But it's still bloody great.
With the Europeans on the green practising some putting, Henrik Stenson heard the jeers of David Johnson - a fan from North Dakota - and hauled him out of the crowd to sink one himself. Justin Rose even sweetened the deal with a $100 wager. Take a bow, David.

A well-earned hug from Rory McIlroy followed Johnson nailing the putt, and in fairness to the Europeans, they seemed to enjoy it. Watch Stenson and Rose, to the left of Johnson, preparing to hand over the $100, too. Great stuff.
A reminder of how enjoyable the Ryder Cup can be, minus the pageantry and the slow-motion montages set to Sigur Ros songs or the likes.
