It's been a long time since Tiger Woods played competitive golf. The 23rd of August to be exact, when Woods finished a decent tied tenth at the Wyndham Championship. The 40-year-old underwent another operation on his spine after that and has been rehabbing ever since. There has been no timetable on his return.

Since then, the former world no.1 has been battling injuries amid rumours that he is about to retire from the sport.

But fresh videos surfaced on Thursday apparently showing a healthy Woods giving a golf clinic to onlookers:

This comes almost at the same time as NBA legend Michael Jordan reveals that he thinks Woods wants to retire. The basketball legend painted a bleak picture for Woods' mindset right now, telling ESPN that he doesn't know how to retire:

I think he really wishes he could retire, but he doesn't know how to do it yet, and I don't think he wants to leave it where it is right now. If he could win a major and walk away, he would, I think.

The thing is I love him so much that I can’t tell him, 'You’re not gonna be great again'.

That does seem to line up with the suggestions from last year that Woods could be considering retirement:

I’ve had a pretty good career. For my 20 years out here, I think I’ve achieved a lot. If that’s all it entails, I've had a pretty good run.
