The Par 3 contest at the Masters brings out the best in the players. It's one of the few times you see professional athletes as relaxed as possible, having fun at the sport that they love with friends and families. It even features the annual legends group with Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, which saw Nicklaus extract one of the biggest cheers of the week.
It also features some of the best human stories of the week.
Kevin Streelman is a 36 year old playing in his fourth Masters tournament.
For Streelman, he didn't have a famous person as his caddy. Nor was it a family member. Instead, Streelman fulfilled one of the greatest dreams any 13 year old boy has ever had. Ethan Couch is that 13 year old boy. The young golfer has been diagnosed with a benign but inoperable brain tumour.
The Make A Wish foundation contacted Streelman asking if the pro golfer could show Ethan around the course. Streelman went one better and put him on the bag. When Streelman phoned Ethan to ask him, he was stunned.
I just wanted to go to the Masters. I didn't expect this.
Now the pair of them are the winners of the Par 3 contest, which is beyond Ethan Couch's wildest dreams.
Truly indescribable day
