European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald has confirmed his final roster for this year's 2023 Ryder Cup team, with Shane Lowry among his captain's picks for the event in Rome.
There had been some speculation as to whether the Offaly man would be included due to his mixed form over the last few months, but he has ultimately made the cut. He will be joined on the team by Rory McIlroy, who was an automatic qualifier.
The other captain's picks this afternoon were Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Ludvig Aberg, Sepp Straka, and Nicolai Højgaard.
They join the other automatic qualifiers in Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, Tyrrell Hatton, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Robert MacIntyre.
Luke Donald's selection process was different this year in comparison to past editions of the Ryder Cup, with the Englishman having six captain's picks. This was an all-time high for the European team and gave him greater control over who would make the the final roster.
Here is the team in full.
