Jordan Spieth knew he had to hole his chip from the bunker on the 18th to be in with a chance of making a playoff in the John Deere Classic.
The 19-year-old defeated Zach Johnson and David Hearn in the playoff to become the first 'teenager' to win on the PGA tour since 1931. As a result of this very impressive feat, Spieth has earned his spot in the field for the British Open in Muirfield which starts on Thursday.
