The next Xbox console generation is set to be released later this year, named the Xbox Series X, and today fans were treated to the first look at some of what we can expect.
Microsoft streamed a special 45 minute show featuring various game creators, all filmed over video call, as they detailed what's to come in some of the stand-out new releases that will be available when the console launches.
Among those titles are the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Medium, Madden 21, DIRT 5 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. These games will also be available on Xbox One but are also being optimised for the Xbox Series X, with some offering "smart delivery," meaning that those who buy an Xbox One copy will get a free upgraded Xbox Series X copy once the console is released.
The new console will also have backwards compatibility, enabling you to play Xbox One games, along with selected titles from the Xbox 360 and Xbox.
You can watch the full thing below and skip to around 28 minutes in for the start of the stream.
The new console is said to be much faster, quieter and more powerful than its Xbox One counterpart. The full list of games featured in today's announcement are:
