We are now firmly getting into the swing of things after the release of FIFA 19, and many players are starting to shape their Ultimate Teams. It can be difficult deciding what league to build your Ultimate Team around, with all of having various pros and cons. Serie A is surprisingly strong in FIFA 19, and may have more talent than any other of the top divisions. But what is the best FIFA 19 Serie A Ultimate Team?
Juventus unsurprisingly have the most representatives, but they still contribute less than half the team overall. Take a look.
The Best FIFA 19 Serie A Ultimate Team
GK: Samir Handanovič
With Gianluigi Buffon finally leaving Juventus during the summer, the door was open for Handanovič to finally become the highest rated goalkeeper in Serie A. His stats are excellent, and he will provide you with a steady pair of hands at the back.
RB: João Cancelo
Joining from Valencia over the summer, Cancelo is already the most appealing right back in the league. His pace and dribbling stats mean he is a perfect attacking full-back, while his defending is also decent.
While Roma's Florenzi is more highly rated, Cancelo is a must in this team.
CB: Kalidou Koulibaly
Koulibaly firmly established himself as a FIFA favourite in the last couple of years, and his card in this game is better than ever.
He is incredibly adept at muscling opposing attackers off the ball, something that will be even more useful with the changes in gameplay in FIFA 19. While his low passing stats mean he is not ideal as a ball-playing centre back, his defensive nous more than justifies his inclusion in this team.
CB: Georgio Chiellini
Chiellini has been one of the top defender in world football for a number of years now, and that looks set to continue as he enters his mid-thirties.
He slots perfectly into this team alongside Koulibaly, and they will be a nightmare for opposing strikers.
LB: Alex Sandro
Left back is proving a difficult position to fill for many players in FIFA 19, and Sandro is as good an option as any other. He has a very balanced card, meaning he can contribute both in attack and defence.
The back four in this team is unbelievable, and that is a testament to the culture of defending in Italian football.
CDM: Marek Hamšík
Hamšík is a fantastic all-round midfielder, and he can do a bit of everything. Deployed in a slightly deeper role in this side, he is capable of providing important tackles and interceptions, as well as defence splitting passes.
Don't be surprised to see him on the end of the occasional attack as well.
CDM: Radja Nainggolan
Nainggolan is one of the most sought after players in each edition of FIFA, and looking at his card, it is not hard to see why.
He has absolutely no weaknesses to his game, with every single stat boasting a rating of at least 75. He is also known to contribute the occasional thunderbolt of a goal, and should slot in beside Hamšík to form a deadly midfield duo.
CAM: Paulo Dybala
Dybala's FIFA rating continues to rise, reaching an impressive 89 this year. His stats are unbelievable, and he should be a real attacking force in FIFA 19.
That dribbling ability, coupled with his pace, shooting and passing make him the perfect attacking midfielder. Dybala will terrorise opposing defences with runs from deep, and is a must in your team if you can afford him.
CAM: Alejandro Gomez
Gomez continues to be one of the most underrated players in FIFA, and his card this year is fantastic. His pace and dribbling are clearly his main assets, but he can contribute plenty of goals and assists as well.
A cheaper option than most in this team, the Atalanta man is definitely attainable for most players.
ST: Cristiano Ronaldo
An obvious one. Ronaldo continues to boast the highest rating in FIFA, although he does share the title with Messi this year.
The move to make him a striker in this year's game is something fans have been calling out for for years, and it will be exciting to see what he can do from a more central position. Good luck collecting enough coins to get him though.
ST: Dries Mertens
Mertens was one of the most popular players in the game last year, and that looks likely to continue in FIFA 19. His pace will allow him to easily get in behind opposing defences, and his finishing rarely lets him down.
While his lack of physicality could see him nudged off the ball more often in this year's game, his other stats more than compensate for this inadequacy.
The Team In Full:
So there you have it, the best FIFA 19 Serie A Ultimate Team.
4-2-2-2 is the perfect formation for this team, as it allows for the inclusion of the multitude of talents that thrive in more central positions. There might be a little less width as a result, but the attacking full-backs will make up for that.
If you can manage to put together this team, you will be almost unstoppable on Ultimate Team.
