It's the one we've all been waiting for. During EA's Play Live event fans were given our first look at FIFA 21 on the highly anticipated Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Blended together with some more footage from Madden NFL 21, the FIFA teaser featured the likes of Eden Hazard, Kylian Mbappé and Virgil Van Djik as we got a taster of what's to come when the next generation of gaming consoles are released near the end of this year.
The new game is promising a next level experience, with enhanced gameday immersion, off-ball player animations, a new lighting system that brings more of the stadium to life, and plenty more besides.
Like Madden NFL 21, FIFA will have minimal load times on the new consoles, as well as next-gen technology that takes players to a whole new level of realism.
In the meantime, FIFA 21 will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 9. If you pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition you’ll be able to play from October 6. Those who purchase the game on PS4 or Xbox One can then upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X at no extra cost, provided they do so before the release of FIFA 22. More info on how that works can be found here.
