Tony Hawk is an absolute hero.
An icon of skateboarding, his video games provided hours and hours of entertainment for millions who wanted to be a skateboarder but didn't like the falling down part.

That's never been an issue for Tony, who has always been fond of building crazy contraptions and then trying to skate them, such as the loop-de-loop we all knew and loved from the good old days of Jackass on MTV.
Surprisingly, as he approaches 50 the legendary skater still has a fondness for pushing the boundaries of skateboarding as he recently attempted to skate a vertical spiral ramp and brought us all along for the ride:
If at first you don't succeed, continue bailing until you do. That's always been the Tony Hawk way and thankfully he's still going strong.
It's just a shame about 'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5', which was one of the worst games I've ever played. Still, that's not entirely his fault, rock on Tony.
