Virgin Media is set to host a brilliant event called Virgin Media Playhouse on July 5th and 6th in the National Science Gallery in Dublin in celebration of National Play Week.
The two-storey experience is set to be part playground and part science which will be custom-built to help adults understand the 'play' state of mind. A healthy amount of play can be linked to better mental health, a better drive, and a better understanding of others.
Virgin Media are looking to help adults break away from the daily work grind mindset and rediscover a sense of freedom and happiness that play brought them from their youth.
The event, which is free of charge, will have a multitude of different sections and areas which will help adults tap into their playful side.

Retro Arcade
The Retro Arcade will feature a number of arcade cabinets for players to explore, to strategize and to complete and win. Featuring classic video game characters like Mario and Pac-Man, the Retro Arcade is sure to be a great combination of nostalgia and fun which is sure to entertain those who play!
Trip of a Lifetime
In this section, players will be transported in a fully immersive 360 degree 3D experience where players can choose their path and explore Earth's natural wonders in a way that people have not experienced before. Trip of a Lifetime will allow players to get in touch with their curious and imaginative side.
Dance Off
This retro arcade dance machine will combine fun and rhythm with competition and precision. Players will look to match the movements and rhythm on screen in order to master the game and win in dance battles against other players. Dance Off will help bring a competitive edge with play in these dance battles.
Football Challenge
In this game, players will test their footballing ability with a points challenge with a leaderboard sure to bring in top competitors time and time again in order to keep their places at the top. Football Challenge will merge the fun of football with a more playful but competitive edge.
