For avid gamers and eSports fans, one of the biggest days of the calendar year is almost here. The Virgin Media ELOI finals are coming to Dublin on Thursday and there's a stacked line-up of clashes for fans to enjoy.

While the appetite and buzz around eSports is far from a new thing around the world, in recent years, Irish fans have had their own league, teams and players to support.

After a thrilling and entertaining group stage campaign, just eight players remain, with the chance to be crowned the Virgin Media ELOI champion on the line.

On Thursday night, fans will be able to flock to The Camden in Dublin to watch the drama unfold, with reigning ELOI champion XampL_YT representing Dundalk still in this year's competition.

Doors open at 5:30pm, with the best of Ireland's EA FC players kicking off the action at 6:30pm.
