While this year the powers that be at EA Sports are taking steps to make pure pace is less important in the World's most popular football simulator, it's still going to be the first thing virtual managers look for when they are choosing a player to sign in career mode or Ultimate Team (especially), or a team to use against their friends.
Fast players have defined FIFA over the last few years, so when the ratings are revealed it's only natural that aside from the players in the most popular teams like Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, the stats the FIFA fans want to see are the speed demons.
There's a few new faces on the Top 10 fastest players in FIFA 16 when compared with FIFA 15, so without further ado, here are the players that you're going to hate playing against and love exploiting.
#10 - Marco Sau - Cagliari
Ultimate Team players will already know all about Marco Sau, as he's been a Serie A speedster for some time. Could be a great buy in career mode.
#9 - Kekuta Manneh - Vancouver Whitecaps
Another one to try to snag in career mode, Manneh won't be expensive because he's playing in the MLS. An exciting young player to spend your training points on.
#8 - Dominic Oduro - Montreal Impact
Another MLS burner here, there's a clear pattern emerging.
#7 - Jonathan Biabiany - Inter Milan
#6 - Gareth Bale - Real Madrid
WOW. As if he wasn't lethal enough on FIFA already, the Welshman has been given a pace boost and now he looks outrageously dangerous.
#5 - Jurgen Damm - Tigres UNAL
Speedy Gonzales himself looks like he will be very dangerous, especially with the High/Low workrates meaning he will always stay further up the pitch.
#4 - Ernest Asante - Stabæk Fotball
I can't see too many Ultimate Team players building Norwegian league sides, so here's another winger to target in your career mode.
#3 - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Borussia Dortmund
Always an absolute nightmare to play against on FIFA, this year it's even tougher. The ST positioning makes him a must have Ultimate Team player if you're building a Bundesliga squad.
#2 - Matthis Bolly - Fortuna Dusseldorf
He was #1 last year, and despite keeping the same ridiculous pace rating as last year he has been joined at the top the ladder by a new contender.
#1 - Theo Walcott - Arsenal
Oh dear. This guy is going to be a menace. He's been given a boost, and although Hector Bellerin would be having none of it, Theo Walcott is now the fastest player in FIFA 16.
