Attention! There is an absolutely unreal freebie going down that will let you relive some of the best gaming moments of your childhood, but you'll need to act fast, as it looks as though the deal ends on Saturday afternoon.
SEGA are giving away a free copy of 'Streets Of Rage II' (as well as two other games) on MakeWarNotLove.com, for anybody who has Steam (the gaming software that you will need to play Football Manager and other popular PC games). If you don't have it, you can download that for free here, as you will need it to play SOR II.
All you have to do is go to MakeWarNotLove.com, scroll down to the 'Previous Content' (the one with the Streets Of Rage artwork) and click 'Redeem Prize'. Then you simply subscribe to their mailing list (you can unsubscribe or filter to junk mail as soon as you receive your code) and then download the game from Steam once a code is sent to you (can take up to 24 hours apparently).
Also included in the bundle is 'Condemned: Criminal Origins', and 'Binary Domain' but we absolutely played the shit out of Streets of Rage on the Sega Megadrive back in the day, and we know a lot of our readers did too because more often than not it came bundled on a cartridge that also had the 'Italia 90' football game.
Need a little reminder of how great the game was? Here's someone beating the entire thing in 27 minutes:
The soundtrack was absolutely unreal, and this thing with a friend in co-op mode was about as fun as it got back then. Bags being 'Skate'.
Enjoy.
