There has been some intriguing news in regards to the highly anticipated season two of HBO's The Last Of Us.
Based off of the PlayStation exclusive game of the same name, the first season, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, was an enormous success.
Big News For The Last Of Us Season Two
Naturally, the new season will be based on the second game in the series. However, Neil Druckmann - show creator and co-president of the developers of the game, Naughty Dog - has revealed that there will likely be elements from the 'lost levels' of the game, which will be introduced on the upcoming The Last of Us 2 remastered.
"As a tease, I will say there is at least one element from a cut level that is planned [for] the show," Druckmann said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
I say that with the caveat that we haven’t started filming the show yet and all things are subject to change based on what we ultimately feel will be best for the show.
The Lost Levels are very much focused on offering a sneak peek into The Last of Us Part 2’s original development and deepen fans’ appreciation for the studio’s creative work.

"Think of these as levels left on the cutting room floor, that for various reasons didn’t make it into the final game," he added.
"These are a new attempt from us to lift the curtain on the development process, and I hope players appreciate the insight into what did and didn’t make it into the final game."
This news certainly adds another level of value to the remastered game, which is due for release on January 19.
