For many people, the month of January can be considered as the spark of new beginnings, resolutions and a wind back to reality after the Christmas period. For gamers and avid FC24 players it is the month that brings the eagerly anticipated, EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year .
Over previous editions of the game, we've seen some of the best, highly rated and over-powered player items of all time and finally this year's edition has been announced.
At the start of the month, EA SPORTS released their nominees and the public were able to vote for their preferred EA SPORTS' FC Team of the Year.
The fresh start to the new era of EA SPORTS' biggest football game has been received positively, with the new additions to career mode and the ever popular Ultimate Team going down a treat amongst the majority.
Now, with the release of the latest EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year, the excitement of the game has been increased yet again.
EA Sports release the FC24 Team of the Year
This year's EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year was always going to be difficult to call and often the game's picks as the Team of the Year can be different to who was honoured at the in person ceremony.

With the public able to vote, many choose their picks due to who they want to use in the game. Despite the fact that not everyone will agree on who has been selected in the final XI, there's no doubt that each player card will be a pleasure to use and horrid to face.
This year's EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year is dominated by the Premier League, with six of the starting 11 coming from the English top flight. Four of Manchester City's treble winning side find themselves in the lineup, alongside two Liverpool players.

The front three of Mbappe, Haaland and Messi have all received incredible 97-rated player items.
Van Dijk, Bellingham and De Bruyne are the next highest rated on 96, followed by Alisson, Rodri and Ruben Dias on 95.
The team's fullbacks are undoubtedly going to be incredible to use, with Theo Hernandez and Jeremie Frimpong's gold player items already some of the most used in the game so far.
The most voted for players from the men's section might come as no surprise, with Jude Bellingham appearing in 74% of all voters' teams.
Speaking about his inclusion in the EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year, Jude Bellingham said that it was an "honour"
A massive thank you to the fans for voting for me to be part of this year's Team of the Year. I know a lot of incredible players who have been part of previous Team of the Year squads and it's always an honour to be part of that list.
The Real Madrid wonderkid was followed by Kylian Mbappe and Virgil Van Dijk who were in 66% of voters' selections.
Women's FC24 Team of the Year
One of the additions to this year's game was the amalgamation of women's and men's player items on Ultimate Team. For people who struggled to find the correct players to compliment their playing styles , the newest Ultimate Team recruits have helped a lot.
Some players from the women's side of the game have fast become some of the best in the game and have added an extra dimension to both Champions and Division Rivals.
Now, gamers will have the option to use the best of the best from the women's section of the game and despite the disappointing emission of Katie McCabe from the EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year, it's still an exciting lineup.
Barcelona's duo of Ballon d'Or Féminin winner Aitana Bonmati and Caroline Graham Hansen are the highest rated in the EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year, with Alexia Putellas and Sam Kerr next in line with stellar 96-rated editions.
Putellas was the most voted player for the EA SPORTS FC Women's Team of the Year, appearing in 84% of votes. Her club teammates Aitana Bonmati and Caroline Graham Hansen were the next popular with the highest ranking pair in the game receiving 77% and 66% of votes.
Speaking about appearing in the first ever EA SPORTS FC Women's Team of the Year, Alexia Putellas said:

Being part of the first women's Team of the Year is a huge honour which I'm very proud of.
England's Millie Bright and Mary Earps' fantastic 2023 seasons have also been rewarded with EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year player items.
Men’s and Women’s Attackers will be available in EA SPORTS FC 24 starting on January 19th, with Midfielders (Jan 21st), and Defenders & Goalkeepers (Jan 23rd) to follow.
