Whether you are a hardcore FIFA player who's constantly competing in Divsion 1 of seasons and Ultimate Team, or you just like to give your mates a beatdown in their own living room, we've got a custom tactic that will have you playing at your best.
FIFA 16 is a very different game to FIFA 15, and the best FIFA 16 Custom Tactic involves picking up the pace to overwhelm your opponent while they are in possession of the ball. Passing is far more difficult, so if you can pressure your opponent into making mistakes in their own third, you'll be dominating matches in no time.
How To Apply The Tactic:
Before the match, go to 'Team Management' and press RB/R1 until you are at the 'Tactics' screen. Once there, choose 'Custom Tactic' and then press X on Xbox, or Square on Playstation to edit it. Once completed simply press B to return to the previous screen.
What The Tactic Does:
This tactic will ensure that your side plays with a high tempo, shows for the pass when in possesion, and keeps a deep defensive line so as not to allow anyone in behind.
The Best FIFA 16 Custom Tactic:
Build Up Play:
The speed here is key, and an 80 speed ensures your players will look to make quick passes and move rapidly up the pitch, which is vital with FIFA 16's slower gameplay. Over 80 is too fast. Passing at 50 means a mix of short and long passing, meaning that those close to you will look for the ball, and others will make runs into space. Organised positioning means players stick to their place.
Chance Creation:
These can be set anywhere between 50 and 60, and don't matter too much in the grand scheme of things. Keeping all areas at a similar level will keep the side balanced.
Defence:
30 is the best balance for pressure, which means how deep your line will sit. FIFA online can often descend into a through-ball-fest, and with your back four sitting deep you won't be vulnerable. We recommend playing a CDM or two to close down the long shots. If you are a confident defender then notch the aggression up to 60+ if you want to see more interceptions, but there are risks involved too. Don't go over 67, or that will change it to 'Double Pressure' and gaps will appear regularly.
This tactic won't guarantee you wins, but it will certainly give you a leg up on the majority of FIFA players who ignore this vital part of the game.
