The most anticipated game of the year, Starfield, has recently launched to excellent reviews, with Xbox gamers praising the breadth of the world and the game's lack of bugs.
It is the latest in Bethesda's long line of epic original world action RPGs, following the likes of Fallout and Elder Scrolls.
Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls: Skyrim were phenomenal successes across Xbox, Windows, and Playstation. However, Starfield has bucked the trend and is exclusive to Xbox, following Microsoft's $7.5 billion acquisition of Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media.
Speaking on this development, Starfield's head developer, Todd Howard, discussed the move to 'Xbox only', and why he feels that it is a positive move for Bethesda.
When you're making something exclusive then the more you can focus.
You know this is the hardware or the thing people are playing on, so the ability to focus on that always yields a better product.

"You do want people to be able to access it of course," added Howard.
"But being with Xbox means there is an ease of access for us and I'm told we're expecting more people playing this launch than anything we've ever done before and that's despite the success of our previous games.
"I do also think people attach brands to certain games. When you think of Zelda you think of the Switch and I think there are times when that can be a real benefit."
