We have already been blessed with an array of different mods for Starfield since its recent launch earlier this month, with gamers showing off their creative side.
There is further good news for these folk as game director Todd Howard announced that official mod support will be coming next year.
As with Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Fallout 4, official mod support came in the form of Creation Kits, which gave players access to the tools that were used by the developers when making the game.
It is thought that Creation Kits will also be used for Starfield, helping them to create more complex mods with greater ease.
Speaking to Famitsu, Howard gave the update on when to expect the new addition to Starfield.
Once mods are supported, you’ll be able to do almost anything, just like in our previous games. Mod support will be available next year, and we love mods too, so we’ll go all-in.
Starfield Mods Will Be Crazy When Official Support Comes In Next Year
Reddit user WeirdConcern4666 created a Starfield mod that lets you exit your ship in space, fly around, and land/walk on asteroids. Apparently they were able to create an outpost on an asteroid too. #Starfield pic.twitter.com/P4lAw8sAlr
