It remains perhaps the best 'Star Wars' game ever made - and it seems that there is still hope the proposed remake of Knights of the Old Republic could yet see the light of day.
A remake of the classic 2003 game was first announced two years ago, before seemingly being put on pause when the development studio was bought out midway through development.
News on KOTOR has been hard to come by ever since, with fans fearing that the game could be dead in the water.
Fresh eports from inside the studio, however, suggest that the game is indeed still in development - though no word of a release date is likely any time soon.

Inside reports suggest Knights of the Old Republic is still on
'Star Wars' fans were overjoyed back in 2021 when a teaser trailer was released for the upcoming remake of Knights of the Old Republic.
The RPG was first released in 2003 on Xbox, and is set 4,000 years before the establishment of the Galactic Empire which is central to the main movie series.
It follows a Sith Lord called Darth Malak who wages war on the Galactic Empire using a Sith armada - the player must take the role of a Jedi and play their part in stopping the armada.
Still renowned as one of the finest 'Star Wars' games ever made - if not the finest - it was understandable that fans were thrilled to hear of an imminent remake.
Plans for the remake hit a snag in 2022, however, when developers Aspyr were replaced by Saber Interactive, which the remake reportedly delayed "indefinitely."
Little news has emerged since, until this week, when Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier shared this update on social media.
Can't say whether the KOTOR Remake will ever actually *come out*, but yes, two people from Saber Interactive tell me they're still on it, despite recent rumors that nobody is working on the game. (Saber took the project from Aspyr last year, as Bloomberg reported then) https://t.co/prNTT6iVAy

It's a relief to hear that the game is still in development, even if it will seemingly be a while before fans can get their hands on it.
In the meantime, it's time to dust off the original Xbox and revisit Knights of the Old Republic.
