A new story trailer has dropped for the upcoming Spider-Man 2 game, which is set for its PlayStation 5 release on October 20, 2023.
It is a third-person action-adventure single-player game, with users able to play as both main characters, Peter Parker and Miles Morale
The game will feature villains such as Venom and Kraven the Hunter, but eagle-eyed fans have also spotted a reference to a much more niche villain from the comic books.
In one of the scenes from the new trailer, a ferris wheel with the name 'Big Wheel' can be seen, which is in reference to villain Jackson Weele.
It is not definite confirmation that he will show up, but fans are hoping for the best.
Anticipation and expectation for the game has been high, with narrative director Jon Paquette increasing the hype with recent comments:
Boy, am I excited about [Marvel's] Spider-Man 2. You know, there's obviously not much I can say, but boy, are we really working hard to try and make sure this is the best game we've ever made, and we can't wait to share it with you all.
