GTA 6 and its upcoming trailer have dominated not only news involving Rockstar Games, but gaming news in general.
However, there is a lesser known, Rockstar related, story brewing elsewhere, involving the studio's co-founder Dan Houser, who, for decades, was one of the main creative voices and head writer for the company, and either wrote or co-wrote most of the GTA titles, Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2, Max Payne 3, and Bully.
Houser subsequently left Rockstar in 2020 to set up his own transmedia company, Absurd Ventures, taking some of Rockstar's best talent with him.

The new venture has recently announced its first two projects, and while gaming projects are expected in the future, the first two include a graphic novel and an audio fiction series.

The graphic novel is titled 'American Caper':
"AMERICAN CAPER centers on two normal, badly-damaged American families in a world of corrupt business, inept politics and bungling crime. AMERICAN CAPER will debut as a graphic novel that is being illustrated by renowned comic book artist, Simon Bisley."
The audio series is titled 'A Better Paradise':
"A BETTER PARADISE is an existential suspense thriller, set in the near future. A 12-episode audio fiction series based on the A BETTER PARADISE universe is currently in production. Absurd Ventures is partnering with award-winning audio company Q-CODE Media to co-produce the audio series."
Hearing this news from such a creative force like Houser, one can only speculate as to what will come next for Absurd Ventures. Will these new titles be made into TV series or games? Will they bring us the next dominant open world shooter, or something beyond our imagination?
