Back in 2019, the world was introduced to Remnant: From The Ashes, which was released for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and later on Nintendo Switch.
It is an action-role playing game, with similar mechanics and elements to the Dark Souls series, but with the addition of guns as weapons.
Today marked the official release of its sequel, Remnant 2 - while there was also early access four days ago - and it is already getting rave reviews, such as the ones below from God is a Geek and Eurogamer:
Despite a few shortcomings, Remnant 2 remains one of the most creative, fascinating, and compelling games of the last few years.
Remnant 2 is simply the perfect sequel. It improves the elements that already made the first game great and interesting, while not changing what was best in the original.

Remnant 2 isn't just good. It is the best game I have played in like 4 years.
Loot, amazing bosses, some of the best puzzles I've ever done.
It is my personal GOTY right now. It just feels like good game that isn't trying to extend my play time or force microtransactions on me

#Remnant2 is a GOTY candidate.
This game is a cross between Returnal, Dead Souls/Elden Ring, very difficult Destiny 2 raid/dungeon mechanics, and a Mensa level puzzle.
Play it Co-op as plays better this way. This is a hard, taxing, but fun game. I got crushed a lot but I love… pic.twitter.com/7eJOhsBeUT

"Remnant 2’s action, loot, and bosses are cranked up to 11," wrote Shacknews.
"It’s a marked improvement over the first game, with the fat trimmed and all the good parts ready for devouring right from the start."
DualShockers also waxed lyrical about the new title, and are confident that it is an improvement on its predecessor.
"Remnant: From The Ashes was a game with massive potential that struggled under the weight of its own ambition. Remnant 2 realizes that potential and then some.
