Ray Hudson, the super-enthusiastic Geordie commentator best known for his outrageous and borderline orgasmic reactions to anything Lionel Messi for American TV, is a divisive character in the world of sports broadcasting.
While some love his over-the-top theatrics and yelps of excitement when the beautiful game is played beautifully, many also cannot stand him, and find him way too much to deal with during a game of football.
He does have a loyal fanbase, and many of those fans seem to also be fans of EA SPORTS' FIFA series, as there are calls for Hudson to be included in the game's commentary year after year.
While adding a commentator is a pain-staking process that involves countless hours of monotonous, hard work, which EA would be reluctant to throw away after having Martin Tyler and Alan Smith cover so much, it's clear that they are listening to the calls, as they asked Hudson to give his thoughts on the FIFA 17 goals of the year, all of which are bloody outstanding.
A very excitable man.
Should he be involved in the actual game's commentary? One of the main complaints about the game every year is that the same phrases quickly become stale, but while Hudson would surely liven things up, you wouldn't be thrilled if he started going nuts after you've conceded a last minute winner that deflected off your defender's backside.
Are you a Hudson fan, or hater? Get in touch and let us know, and if you think you've scored a better FIFA goal than any featured in the above video, we'd love to see it too.
