2K have revealed new gameplay footage from the upcoming game WWE 2K Battlegrounds, and it looks bonkers.
The never before seen footage of the arcade-style brawler was unveiled as part of the latest Nintendo Direct.
Fan-favourite WWE Superstar and gaming mainstay Cesaro took part in the showcase. He was joined by SmackDown Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Big E, and Raw Women's Champion Asuka.
The WWE Superstars picked up the Switch controllers to give the world a taste of what Battlegrounds has to offer. The crew took part in a fatal four-way match for the Nintendo showcase, complete with motorcycle beatdowns, alligator stage hazards and high-flying aerial finishers.
New Level of WWE Action
WWE 2K Battlegrounds will bring over-the-top WWE action to a new level of intensity. It features a roster of more than 70 WWE Superstars and Legends, with additional Superstars to be released after the launch.
Players will be able to soar in military helicopters, smash opponents with cars in an auto shop and even throw other fighters into the jaws of a hungry alligator in a swamp. Sounds like it'll be slightly different to Smackdown! vs. Raw!
The brawler is scheduled for release worldwide on September 18, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch™ system and Stadia. It is now available for pre-order in digital formats and at participating retailers.
