The official reveal trailer for Madden 24 dropped yesterday, with the game being released for PS4/5, XBOX One/X/S, and PC on August 18th.
However, despite a slick and hyped trailer, 'fans' of the game do not seem particularly optimistic, and feel that the series has not progressed in years.
The YouTube comments under the trailer reveal the extent of their discontent: "I’m calling it every Madden until 2k is allowed to make a football game is gone be 7/10", "so excited for Madden 17", "The only thing the game changes every year is the cover", "They give more effort on the trailer than the game itself", "Looks exactly like the last 8 games".
Fans Are Not Optimistic For The New Madden Game
So madden 24 not truly next gen, they still making the game for last gen. Why can’t devs just move on already? I want my PS5 to be worth it lmao. This shit doesn’t even make any noise playing these weak ass games.

One particular gripe that is bugging fans is the repackaging of old features, which are then hyped up as new and improved aspects of the game.
For example, the much requested mini-games are back, which had been disappointingly taken away in recent games, while Superstar Mode is back but is effectively the same as the Face of the Franchise mode from Madden 23.
EA will hope that the early thoughts of the game won't ring true when it is released, with the last three editions of the game receiving very poor Metacritic scores of 63, 68, and 69.
Madden 24 prediction… people get hyped over same ol madden trailer from and same ol is new features (mini games). @EASPORTS oversells, community on bandwagon for 2 months until launch, reviews all say step in the right direction, madden is same ol broken game
