Hogwarts Legacy finally dropped in recent days, with the game set to become one of the biggest releases of the year. Gamers across the globe are already getting stuck into the various challenges that the map has to offer, with no shortage of quests to keep us entertained. One of the ones people are having trouble with is the Hogwarts Legacy chess puzzle, so here are some hints to help you out.
Hogwarts Legacy Chess Puzzle Solution
The Hogwarts Legacy chess puzzle has been causing some issues for players, but the solution is actually fairly straightforward.
YouTuber DibuckTV has given a walkthrough of the challenge here, but we will guide you through it below.
First of all, you will need to enter a cave in the Poidsear Coast region of the world map. You can find the location on the image below.
To enter the cave, you will have to perform the 'depulso' spell on the two monuments at its entrance. Once you do so, the door should open.
After making your way inside, you will quickly encounter a chessboard. After casting 'revelio' you will notice that a glowing piece appears just on the right of the door you entered the room through.
You can see it here.
After identifying the object, you will want to use 'transform' on the glowing piece in order to turn it into a bishop.
At that point, you will use 'wingardium leviosa' to move the Bishop into a checkmate position on the board, which would be the left diagonal of the last enemy piece.
At this stage, the enemy piece will be destroyed and a treasure chest will appear.
There are a number of Hogwarts Legacy chess puzzles dotted throughout the map, all of which are completed in a similar fashion.
If you can master them, you should be able to add quite a bit of gear to your coffers.
