FIFA 22 is finally out and everyone will be rushing to get on Ultimate Team and get a few matches in to get a feel for the game. A good starter team is vital as you need to get off to a good start so you don't get left behind. So, what's the best start team to use in FIFA 22? We have a couple options for you here, both with different budgets in case you don't want to spend too much.

Best Starter Teams to use in FIFA 22

Team 1:

Price: <10k on all platforms

This is a great cheap starter squad gamers could definitely have built by the end of their first day. Play some games, open some packs and you'll have 10k in the bank easy.

The defence is quite sweaty with everyone having 80+ pace, even 38 year old Pepe. The Portuguese defender got a huge pace upgrade and is only costing around 1k right now. He along with Manafá and Marchesin will be a very common trio many gamers will use as they are quite handy for the start of the game and cheap. Alongside the Porto trio there's two Dutch youngsters, Wijndal and Timber. Both have good pace and give each other a green link so they are solid choices for your defence.

In the midfield you have the mobile trio of Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Claude-Maurice and Houssem Auoar. All have +65 on every stats. They also all have good agility, meaning they'll feel slick and not clunky in-game. You may want to put a player instruction on Gravenberch to keep him back as the other two players will be better going forward with the better dribbling.

Up front you have a Ligue 1 trio of Justin Kluivert, Myron Boadu and Jonathan Ikoné. All three have 89 pace but you may want to but a chemistry style on Boadu for better shooting as 75 is just a little low. If you are lucky to get a Kluivert ones to watch card then you could have a very good squad. At less than 10k this is a very solid starter squad for the start. You can build up from this as you earn more coins.

For those who are fortunate to get good pack luck and have a bit of change to make a starter team, this is a very nice option. It's a very pacy team with everyone having over 75 pace and you can make this team cheaper if you choose cheaper alternatives.

In defence you have 3 RB Leipzig defenders and goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi. Lukas Klostermann, Josko Gvardiol and Nordi Mukiele are all quite pacy and physical. The two centre-backs Klostermann and Gvardiol especially form a fast partnership that will keep up with any striker. The back four is rounded out by Valencia's José Gaya. The left-back is routinely one of the best Spanish left-backs in the game.

The midfield 3 is made up of Pedri, Jude Bellingham and Emre Can. Youngsters Pedri and Bellingham have received a huge upgrade this year and are therefore more usable this year. Pedri is much better going forward with his decent dribbling and agility while Bellingham is an all-rounder. Emre Can is one of the more expensive players on the team at over 20k. All of his stats are 78 or over (almost in Gullit Gang) and is himself a cheaper alternative to Leon Goretzka. It's a very balanced midfield with good work rates.

The front 3 consists of Silas, Donyell Malen and Ansu Fati. After getting a cult following last year in FIFA 21, Silas is back with a very good card once again. The Congolese player has 5 star skills with 87 pace and if he keeps up the form from last season, will receive a few decent cards. Donyell Malen has moved to Dortmund this summer to the delight of FIFA fans. The Dutch international is a cheap alternative to Erling Haland with his speed and has alright shooting too at 79. Stick a chemistry style on him and he'll be class. Lastly it's Ansu Fati. With 4 star weak foot and skills Fati is a perfect starter squad player, only costing 700 coins too.
