The long awaited GTA VI was released a day earlier than expected by Rockstar Games, after it had been leaked online by a hacker.
It has been excruciating wait for fans of the beloved franchise with the trailer for GTA V released 12 years ago, and the game itself brought out a decade ago.
The new trailer has only increased the hype for the game, with its hyper-real graphics, and the return of Vice City to the main series.
GTA VI Trailer Confirms Year Of Release
It also confirmed some major details that have been discussed for months, such as the story centering around a female protagonist, Lucia, and her boyfriend, in what appears to be a Bonnie and Clyde style relationship.
The biggest reveal was the release date which will be in 2025. Many were unhappy about having to wait what will likely be another two years, but with GTA V having a similar time period between the trailer and the game, it was to be expected.

Another major talking point of the trailer was its portrayal of Vice City, which is a fictionalised version of Miami.
There was much praise for getting the right vibe across, with the state of Florida famous for its grimy atmosphere, flashy lights, pink sunsets, and its tales of debauchery and utter craziness.
Social media also plays a big part in the video, with many of the shots seen through a TikTok lens, hinting that this will have a big part in the game.
