We're all set up for months and months of GTA 6 speculation, especially now that we have the first trailer for the upcoming game.
Over a decade since the last instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar Games released the first sneak peek of GTA 6 earlier this month, and the weeks since have seen fans clamber to share theories, rumours, and leaks about the game.
Given GTA 6 will not launch until 2025, we can expect much more speculation between now and its release.
Fans have now spent weeks dissecting the 90-second trailer which released on December 5, and one eagle-eyed viewer on Reddit has pointed out a minor detail which points to the bigger improvements that will be possible for the game on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.

Incredible GTA 6 trailer detail shows power of newer consoles
The last time a new Grand Theft Auto game released in 2013, it landed on PS3 and Xbox 360, with a PS4 and Xbox One version released a year later.
Though GTA V was remastered for PS5 and Xbox Series last year, the upcoming GTA 6 will be the first game engineered from scratch for the current generation of consoles.
One gamer (@Tripledoble) took to Reddit this week to point out a minor detail of the GTA 6 trailer which shows the steps forward that will be possible on the newer consoles.

At about the 0:20 mark in the above trailer, a shot can be seen of birds taking flight over a lake, with the ripples on the surface of the water showcasing the extraordinary detail made possible by the graphics engines of the current-gen consoles.
Earlier shots of the waves crashing in on the beach and a speed boat powering underneath a highway bridge only further display the potential for the graphics of this game to be completely game-changing.
Of course, these are small details, but they will no doubt help to make the world of the game feel even more realistic, and point to the huge potential of GTA 6 that fans have been waiting years to see.
