With the GTA 6 trailer yesterday, and confirmation that GTA 6 won't be with us until 2025, we're set for leak after leak of potentially game-changing information in the interim period.
The first trailer dropped earlier this week - and earlier than planned, thanks largely to a leak which forced the hand of developers Rockstar Games.
Fans of the series have been starved of content for over a decade now, and the fact that that wait is set to go on for at least another year and a bit will only amplify fans' desires to learn more about the upcoming game.
There have already been some leaks pertaining to GTA 6 - and the latest leak, supposedly from one of the game's former developers, may give answers to a some of the questions posed by the recently released trailer.

Alleged GTA 6 details leaked on Reddit
We've already seen some ex-Rockstar developers push the boundaries of what they can reveal from within the studio, and it looks like that won't stop any time soon.
It's clear the game will have its first female protagonist in Lucia. The trailer charts her journey with Jason in a Bonnie-and-Clyde bank heist that appears to go wrong.
The release of GTA 6's first trailer posed many questions for fans - and one Redditer, seemingly an ex-Rockstar employee, claims to have answers.
An anonymous poster posted a list of answers to some of the questions fans had raised from the trailer. Some of the most intriguing story-based leaks include the suggestion that the game is based on the film 'The Place Beyond The Pines'.
Here are the leaks that circulated on Reddit:
- Jason is NOT a Fed or undercover police officer like a lot of people have been theorizing, however there will be missions where the two do things FOR the feds, similar to GTA IV with the U.L. Paper contact
- The game is heavily based off of the Ryan Gosling/Eva Mendes film "The Place Beyond The Pines"
- It is true that Lucia does have a son, but she is not a single mother. The baby belongs to both Jason and her, and is one of the main motivations behind their crime spree
- Luis Lopez from the Ballad of Gay Tony is set to return. Don't really want to give away in what capacity, but it won't be anything too major
- The previously leaked "70% interiors" is partly true
The post also suggests that the tiktok style video that appear in the trailer will play an important role in the overall experience of the game.
Perhaps most exciting for fans is the closing statement of the Reddit post (which you can find in full here). The anonymous source says:
This game will be very, very cherished for the next decade, and will certainly set a new standard in modern AAA gaming
Make of these what you will but regardless these are hugely exciting times for GTA fans.
