Never before has the announcement of an imminent announcement garnered as much attention as that of GTA 6's impending release from Rockstar Games earlier this week.
It has been over a decade since there was a new addition to the Grand Theft Auto series, with the last game - GTA V - releasing in September 2013. Remasters have since been released on the two generations of consoles launched in that time.
Fans were beginning to wonder whether we would ever see another GTA game but, just as hope was beginning to fade, Rockstar's tweet last week confirmed that GTA 6 is just around the corner (well, we hope...)
We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.
Thank you,

December 2023 marks the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games, and they will mark the occasion with the very first trailer for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game - assumed to be titled GTA 6, for now at least.
Leaks have already begun to surface, and speculation is rife as to what new features fans can expect in the upcoming release - with the latest rumours suggesting an intriguing addition to the game's mechanics.

GTA 6 to feature character ageing
Rumours this week suggest that character ageing will be added to the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game, as well as a hair and beard growth system.
The leaks comes from a trusted GTA source, "RockstarGTAVI," and seem more than reasonable considering Rockstar Games, the developers of GTA 6, have recently added such technology to the Red Dead Redemption series.
The longer players spent in the GTA 6 world, the more their characters will age, adding authenticity to the gameplay.
Naturally, some took to social media to raise some humorous questions about how exactly the ageing system will work in-game.

🤔What would the average life expectancy be?
Because all of our characters would die of old age before GTA 7 😂 https://t.co/8BTkIKIEte— Duelbits.com (@Duelbits) November 14, 2023
I will literally wait until my character is like a damn grandpa and then play the whole story as a fucking 90 years old https://t.co/JQzLUygq7l

It may not be the most scintillating of GTA 6 rumours, but if it does transpire to be true, it does show that Rockstar has used the interim period between Grand Theft Auto games to develop technology to push the series on even further.
We cannot wait for the first trailer for GTA 6 to drop next month.
