A trailer has been released for the movie adaptation of the highly acclaimed survival horror video game series, Five Nights At Freddy's.
The first game was developed by ScottGames and released in 2014, and is set in the fictional pizzeria Freddy Fazbear's Pizza", where you play the role of a security guard who has to defend themselves against the shop's murderous animatronic characters.
The success of the first game was so great that it spawned multiple sequels, and initially saw Warner Bros. acquire the rights to make a movie adaption in 2015.
Despite many road blocks, the movie, which will be distributed by Universal Pictures, now has a trailer and an October release date for the United States.
The film is directed by Emma Tammi, and stars Josh Hutcherson, of Hunger Games fame, in the main role.

Jason Blum, CEO and founder of production company Blumhouse, spoke about the popularity of the franchise and the anticipation for the movie adaptation:
