FIFA 23 is currently down due to server maintenance, which is affecting all features of the game including Ultimate Team, Online friendlies and more.
Many FIFA users will be left disappointed when they go to go on their gaming console today and see they can't access any of the online features the game has to offer.
This morning at 3am (Irish time) EA announced the scheduled maintenance to their games on their Twitter account @EASFCDirect. They confirmed that match creation and online services in FIFA 23, FIFA 22, FIFA 21, FIFA 20, FIFA 19 and FIFA 18 would all be effected by the scheduled maintenance.
How long will FIFA 23 servers be down?
The scheduled maintenance is to last from 4am-12pm UTC or 5am-1pm Irish time.
The FIFA 23 server downtime began at 5am Irish time today. It is expected that all online FIFA servers will be down for a minimum of eight hours worldwide on all gaming platforms new or old. These include PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
EA said this in a statement released this morning on Twitter.
"We have a scheduled maintenance on July 26, 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM UTC. During this time, you may be disconnected or unable to access online services,"
"Match creation will be disabled 30 min prior to the maintenance. Titles impacted: FIFA 18-23 on all platforms."

What parts of the game does it affect?
The FIFA 23 servers are currently down to facilitate maintenance, impacting online gameplay in Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs, Online Seasons, Online Friendlies and other modes
Will this happen often?
FIFA server downtime isn't particularly uncommon. We have already seen the game being out of action for a couple of hours back in April and also in February because of server maintenance.
Both those periods of gameplay downtime were for a significantly smaller amount of time, one only lasting five hours. This latest sever down to happen due to maintenance will be one of the longest times we've seen from FIFA in a long time.
EA's Latest Announcement
EA has recently just announced FIFA 23's successor, EA FC 24. This will be the first time the new EA game will not feature FIFA in its game title. This follows the publisher's high-profile departure from working alongside FIFA. EA FC 24 will be released later this year.
