EA Sports are rolling through their FUT Teams of the Season with FIFA 17, and this evening they released their 'Rest of the World' side which includes a League of Ireland player!
After listing the Team of The Season from the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, La Liga, the Bundesliga, and others, the smaller leagues in the game get grouped together, with only a select few from leagues like the Scottish Premier League, the K-League, the A-League, the Danish league, and of course the League of Ireland.

And Gary McCabe of Bray Wanderers has done enough to make the cut. The winger had a somewhat prolific 2016 with Shamrock Rovers, scoring 10 times in 24 appearances for the Hoops. He's had a hot fire start to 2017, with 13 goals in the first 17 league games.
With Seanie McGuire already receiving a Team Of The Season upgrade through the bronze-level community voting, he was ruled out from this batch of upgrades.
The Bray man is not the first name we would have thought of if we were told EA Sports would have a spot for one LOI player in the side, as a few Dundalk players - like Patrick McEleney, Stephen O'Donnell or Robbie Benson - Would have been expected to get the nod. Moussa Dembele of Celtic can certainly feel aggrieved too.
