The latest big announcement from EA Sports FC dropped today, with a date announced for the full gameplay trailer.
Along with the news that this trailer will be coming on July 13, EA also shared the cover for the Ultimate edition of the game.
Unlike previous football titles from EA, during their years in partnership with FIFA, they have used the game versions of players rather than pictures of the athletes in real life.
An array of football talent, past, present and future, from Cruyff to Sam Kerr, appear in what is effectively a group photo.
Some fans were not impressed by the graphic design used for the cover, but it's an interesting new direction for the franchise..

The official release date for the game is September 29, 2023.
It is the first soccer title from EA Sports since ending its partnership with FIFA, a relationship which lasted for 30 years.
Whether it keeps much of the old style of the game, in terms of features and menu layout, remains to be seen, which does make for one of the most anticipated games from EA Sports in a long time.
