The real life fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz at UFC 196 is set to be one cracker of a fight, so we decided to run a video-game simulation of Saturday night's bout to test the waters, and the bar was set very, very high.
The weights are wrong, the records are now inaccurate, and the apparel the fighters wear are long out of date, such are the problems of using a near two-year-old game while we wait for the sequel to come out (it's released on Paddy's Day).
Nevertheless, we let the CPU go nuts, and we got what we wanted:
A devastating KO. There was plenty of flashy kicks, or "spinning shit" as Nate would call it, and a stuffed takedown resulted in an onslaught to finish the fight.
Now it's over to the real thing.
