The first Blade Runner game in 25 years has been announced, titled Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth, and will be published and developed by Annapurna Interactive.
The reveal came at the publisher's showcase, with the game coming as a sequel of sorts to the 1997 'Blade Runner' game, and set between the first Blade Runner film and Blade Runner 2049.
Not much more is known about the game, with no release date yet, but it does have its own Steam page with a description of the game, and a teaser trailer has also been released:
Set between the original film and 2049, Blade Runner 2033 takes place after the events of the Black Out and asks: what does a Blade Runner do when there are no Replicants left to hunt?

Annapurna Interactive received huge praise for publishing the highly acclaimed first-person exploration game 'What Remains of Edith Finch' in 2017.
Development of the Blade Runner game will be lead by Chelsea Hash, who also worked on 'What Remains of Edith Finch', and she spoke with IGN ahead of the announcement:
"When I found out about the opportunity to lead a Blade Runner game, it fully knocked me off my proverbial flight plan.
"I had my hands full working on two projects, and was putting together designs for a new pitch - but I couldn’t pass up this chance. I’ve been watching the original film yearly since I was probably too young, and I remember sneaking away to watch 2049 in the midst of shipping a big project."
"Working on Edith Finch was honestly a life-changing experience for me, and it taught me so much about telling stories in the unique language of games.
"BR2033 is very much a narrative game, so I can lean on my learnings from Edith Finch often. On the other side, projects like Solar Ash and our work in the interactive music space gave us incredible love of wielding advanced graphics as gameplay tools.
"Our desire to bend a wide array of disciplines as expressive tools will definitely be present in the final game."
