The head of publishing at Bethesda, Pete Hines, has given a relatively promising update on the development of Elder Scrolls 6.
It will be the follow up to the wildly successful Skyrim, from the studio that also gave us the Fallout franchise.
They have been back in the news over the last year due to the imminent release of their next original world, which will be the setting for the space RPG, Starfield; due for release this Friday.
This has, of course, taken up most of the studio's resources and time, but Hines confirmed that Elder Scrolls 6 is in early development.

And yes, there are people working on The Elder Scrolls 6, but this is what the studio has focused on. So no, you are not going to hear soon about The Elder Scrolls 6.
Starfield is our focus for now, and it's going to remain our priority for a while before we talk about anything else."
