If you were a fan of the Pro Evoultion Soccer series back in the glory days, then prepare to make Serie A side Atalanta you're second-favourite team.
Possibly the greatest ever video game reference in the world of sport was spotted on Saturday as club captain of Atalanta, Papu Gomez, decided to pay tribute to the legendary original Master League XI by listing the squad in their iconic 3-5-2 formation on his captain's armband along with a picture of the Playstation.
And the gang's all there! Ivarov, Dodo, Ximelez... And, of course, Castolo.
This came to our attention thanks to top Italian football journalist James Horncastle, himself a big fan of the glory days of PES.

That is truly outstanding.
Papu Gomez, you are our hero.
We absolutely love Master League here on Balls.ie, and if you do too then you had better catch up on what became of the heroic players in our 'Where Are They Now?' feature...
