The release of EA Sports FC 24 is quickly approaching, with gamers given a first look at some of the big changes coming under the new title in recent days.
A number of alterations have been made across the various game modes, although none are as pronounced as they will be in Ultimate Team.
The most popular game mode in recent additions of FIFA, some sizeable changes will have an impact on the way you craft your team over the course of the season.
Here are five changes you can expect to see in this year's game.
5 Big Changes Coming To Ultimate Team In EA Sports FC 24
Addition Of Women players To Ultimate Team
EA Sports FC 24 will see the title's biggest ever addition to the Ultimate Team player pool, with four women's leagues set to become available. Players from the NWSL, Barclay's Women's Super League, La Liga F, the Frauen-Bundesliga, and the Division 1 Féminine will be available in packs.
Not only that, but these players will be able to be mixed and matched with men's players to create very unique Ultimate Team squads.
It will be very exciting to get the opportunity to use top women players such as Sam Kerr, Alexia Putellas, and Katie McCabe in this game mode.
They will also provide the opportunity to grant additional chemistry in your team. For example, Sam Kerr and Enzo Fernandez, players from Chelsea's women's and men's team respectively, will be given a chemistry boost by the other's presence in the side.
Ultimate Team 'Evolutions'
This is one that many gamers are already excited by.
One of the most annoying aspects of FIFA games in the past was that you would become attached to players early in the season only to have to then discard them as more powerful player items became available in game.
As well as this, all gamers pulled from the same pool of identical player items. This is set to change.
Ultimate Team 'Evolutions' will allow you to upgrade certain players items based on their in-game performance, meaning they can be part of the journey your squad takes over the course of the season.
Player ratings, skills, and positions can all be changed on these dynamic cards. This is done by putting players into 'evolution paths' and then completing in-game challenges (such as scoring a certain amount of goals or getting assists) with those players to get permanent upgrades. This feature will even be available for special player items such as in-forms.
A number of different upgrade levels will be available, with more to come over the course of the season. This will give gamers the opportunity to have unique player items that few of their rivals will possess.
It's a nice addition to the game.
Play Styles Plus
The stars of The World’s Game are in the club.

EA Sports FC 24 will see a number of new 'play styles' added to the game, ones that will give players special traits on the pitch. Each of these player styles, such as 'speed dribbling' or 'power header', will also have a 'plus' edition that makes a player excel even more in a given trait.
These will be available in all game modes, but Ultimate Team will give the opportunity to add new styles to special cards as the season goes on.
For example, if Erling Haaland scores a header for Manchester City in real life and is given an in-form card, his new player item could be given the 'power header plus' play style.
Icon Chemistry Change
In FIFA 23, a lot of gamers complained that the new chemistry system meant that 'icon' cards did not have a positive enough impact on their team's chemistry.
That will change in this year's game, where icons will now give a chemistry contribution for every league represented in the squad.
Removal Of Position Modifiers
The addition of secondary positions was a big boost in FIFA 23, giving gamers the opportunity to be more flexible in their squad building.
However, it was slightly annoying that a position modifier card was required to do this, limiting their freedom in how often they had the ability to switch their team around.
That will change in EA Sports FC 24, where players will now automatically change to their secondary position when moved to that position on the team sheet.
