After the insane year for games that was 2023, this next 12 months will do well to live up to.
None the less, there is a host of exciting released scheduled for 2024, and we have picked out five of the most anticipated, with a variety for all sorts of gamers.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Fans of the Price of Persia series are rightfully excited about the still dateless remake of the legendary Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
While they wait, they can satiate themselves with the first new Prince of Persia game since 2010's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
The Ubisoft developed release is a 2.5D side-scrolling game set in the same world as the Sands of Time, and will see you play as a hero named Sargon, a young member of a warrior clan named The Immortals.
It will be released on all platforms on January 18.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
This is the latest release in the wildly popular and critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, and the first in the main line of games since Batman: Arkham Knight.
It is an action-adventure game set in an open world of Metropolis. The game has four playable characters: Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark, with four player co-op mode also available.
It is due for release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Windows on February 2.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
The first game in the cult series in 15 years makes it a highly anticipated release, as well as the fact that it is being developed by GSC Game World on Unreal Engine 5.
The game was initially announced in 2010, but after a cancellation in 2012 and some delays, the first-person shooter survival horror video game will be released as a Xbox and Windows exclusive in Q1 of 2024.
Star Wars Outlaws
This game will be set in the time period between the second and third films, The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi.
It follows protagonists Kay Vess and Nix as they "attempt one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen", and will see them journey across familiar planets such as Tatooine and Akiva, as well as new ones.
It is set in an open world, and will feature stealth and open combat, vehicle combat, space combat.
The game is set for release in the latter stages of 2024.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
We had to include one for the Nintendo Switch fans.
This game is a remake of the acclaimed 2004 release, which follows Mario through different worlds which look like paper, as he completes tasks and locates the seven Crystal Stars.
It will be released on the Switch at some point in 2024.
