Kilkenny supporter Jennifer Malone became something of an internet sensation when the world noticed her consoling a distraught Pauric Mahony at the end of that All-Ireland semi-final replay in Thurles.
Since then, a group of Dublin supporters called 'All Dublin GAA fans' have tracked down Jennifer, who also supports Kildare, where she now lives, and presented her with a Kildare jersey with the name 'Jennifer, Kildare #1 Supporter' written on the back.
Richie Larkin of 'All Dublin GAA Fans' said he had a lump in his throat watching the footage. It had special relevance for him as he said his late brother passed away ten years and he too had Down Syndrome, like Jennifer.
Well tonight, Jennifer met with Club Deise, the Waterford Supporter's Club, and they presented her with a framed photo of the incident signed by Pauric Mahony himself and the jersey he wore on the evening.
Terrific stuff from Mahony.
