That beacon of good inter-community relations, the loyalist agitator and anti-Italian flag activist Willie Frazer has laid into the BBC for publicising an organisation "which glorifies the IRA, the GAA." On his curiously titled facebook page, the 'William Frazer Overflow Page' he was apoplectic at the bizarre appearance of a St. Patrick's College GAA jersey on Eastenders on Friday.
Frazer is a kind of 'green hunter' who goes after ex-IRA people and people who are not sufficently harsh on IRA people in the same manner the John Birch Society used to go after Communists and people who were not sufficently harsh on Communists in 1950s America. He is unsurprisingly writing to the BBC over a split second sighting of a GAA jersey on a "family show."

It turns out it wasn't even a GAA jersey after all. Eastenders have issued a statement saying that it is a "school PE kit which was purchased from an old vintage shop"... and doesn't indicate "any allegiance to any sport or club." St. Patrick's, Ballymena few minutes of fame has been cruelly whipped away. I hope Willie Frazer hasn't forced this retreat.
