St Loman's Leinster senior club football quarter final clash with Castletown takes place next Tuesday, due to the dual commitments of the Wexford club.
Dual winners in Wexford this year, Castletown begin their provincial journey this Saturday taking on Moorefield in the junior hurling championship, with a clash against Westmeath winners St Loman's coming up four days later in Mullingar.
Castletown defeated Gusserane O'Rahillys by three points in the football final two weekends ago before doubling up with the intermediate A hurling triumph over Monageer Boolavogue on Sunday, all the more impressive in the absence of star player Liam Coleman.
The Wexford senior footballer injured his shoulder in a college game the week before the football final, ruling him out for both games.
St Loman's footballer John Helsin is less than impressed with the Tuesday night fixture, describing to the Independent the difficulties it presents for players.
“You know, people work. And not everyone just works down the road, in the post office or as a teacher.
"There’s loads of different jobs, and people are asked to play a very important game on a Tuesday night that means so much to the club and the whole country," he said.
But the Leinster council's hands were tied in a way with the next round of the Leinster junior hurling championship set for the following weekend, leading to a potential fixture pile-up.

The rest of the Leinster quarter finals take place this weekend, beginning with Cuala vs Naas on Saturday night in the re-developed St Conleth's Park.
It's the Dublin side's first provincial championship game in their history and their hopes have been boosted by the availability of star forward Con O'Callaghan.
O'Callaghan was red carded in the closing minutes of the Dublin final against Kilmacud Crokes after an off-the-ball incident with the opposition goalkeeper Devon Burns but the suspension was over-turned on appeal on Tuesday night.
Cuala brought video evidence to the hearing, freeing him up for the game, much to the relief of their supporters who, once again, travel to the game in a tailored train.
